It is about tourist magazine design with BLUE topic that relates to landscapes. The aim of the project is giving viewers a visual enjoyment that help them release pressure and relax by reading magazine. My target audiences would be those people who like traveling and interested on photography.
Choice of Topic
– Blue is representing peaceful, relax, comfortable, eternal and natural.
Research
– Many of tourists and photographers are really like blue element when they are traveling and shooting photos.
Software and Materials
– Indesign: magazine layout, text and typography – Photoshop: background and texture of image
– Adobe Illustrator: vector image
Initial Idea
My initial idea was use blue pigment as main focus to relates with entire magazine design to show landscape artworks by artists in different background. But I change my idea because it is too restrictive to me.
By use different levels of blue, grey and white to build a conspicuous magazine design to give readers visual enjoyment at leisure and find best images of different countries to attract readers.
Reason for Design Solution
Cover page (changed) – Abstract effects and use over line to express the freedom and creative side of traveling.
Table of Content – Keep the balance of either layout and colors
Article Page – Try to use both of methods to show text over the images and beside images. Also keep the balance of layout to achieve aesthetic.
